Last Minute Waiver Wire TIps

1. Jerrick McKinnon
Do not get me wrong McKinnon is definitely not a starter right away but as the season progresses do not be surprised if he turns out to be a solid player to have stashed for a long time. Bottom line if you are comfortable now and have a bench spot this might not be a bad person to fill it with.
2.Cecil Shorts
When Shorts is healthy he is good. With Blake Bortles playing better everyday Shorts is not a bad spot start for a flex or WR 2. He is a proven solid wide receiver and for a spot start for a player on a bye week I like him.
3. Jarius Wright
With the bad start of the season by Cordarelle Patterson Jarius Wright could see more receptions in upcoming weeks to make a good playoff push. He has showed he has talent and potential. Do not be surprised if this guy becomes a good prospect.
4.Brandon LaFell
WARNING Brandon LaFell is a streaky player who will either sink or swim. He is high risk and high reward. If you need a spot start or to fill in a spot for an injury he could be a solid pick up the only issue is consistency. What I do like about LaFell is that with Gronk back and Edleman still competing well defenses forget about him. Stash him or play but beware he could put up a 16 or a 0.

  1. I vehemently disagree with your assessment of Cecil Shorts the Turd, er, I mean the THIRD.

For two seasons running, fantasy pundits have labeled him a talent, a low end No. 1 ... as his tenure on the fantasy landscape has taken him to his second (disappointing) NFL team, the only consistency he's demonstrated is the ability to consistently be hurt, and consistently disappoint.

Even as a Flex or No. 2, he's bad juju, man; hurt hammies tend to linger, and even when CS3 plays, he offers the potential to get banged up (again) or put up goose eggs.

He really doesn't offer big play potential or high upside - only high risk. Drop him like a bad habit, friends.

  2. I strongly disagree. Shorts III is a talented wide receiver he had over 100 yards last week. I am not saying he is a great option but for a spot start when he is healthy I believe he is a solid option and is bortle's favorite target

  3. You are putting a lot of stock and hope in a guy who gave his owners one good game in nearly two seasons of disappointment. Let's also consider that defenses can key in on Cecil Shorts (the Turd), since nobody else on the offense scares them.
